Main Ideas? (Why did the conflict in Egypt happen?)
The conflict in Egypt happened because the government limited the people's freedom. They are ranked at 138th on a list of 167 countries on a list that is widely accepted as a measure of political freedom. The Egyptian people were being treated unfairly. This made them rebel against their government. After successfully driving out (former) President Mubarek, the Muslim Brotherhood gained power. They have been mixing religion and politics.
